Home remedies for white patches on skin

In medical terms, white patches on the skin are known as vitiligo. This can appear on different body parts including the hands, feet, arms, legs, face, lips, and around the eyes and mouth.

Remedies

Turmeric with mustard oil

Turmeric works as an antibacterial and also helps heal skin, while mustard oil fights bacteria and fungus.

Mix half a kg turmeric powder in 8 liters of water. Let it soak overnight. The next morning boil the mixture until just a liter remains. Now add half a kg mustard oil to this solution. Heat it even further until all the water evaporates. Apply this mixture to your spots once in the morning and once in the evening. You will see a reduction in spots in a few months.

Coconut Oil Massage

Coconut oil is often used in vitiligo treatment lotions and creams. It moisturizes the skin and improves blood circulation. It is also antibacterial and antifungal in nature.

Massage the coconut oil on the affected areas during the day and night as well. Leave the oil on overnight.

Neem Extracts

Neem is used to treat a lot of skin problems and it is said that it is a very good remedy for treating autoimmune disorders.

Make a good powder of the dried leaves of the neem tree along with its dried flowers and fruits. Take one teaspoon of this powder mixture with a glass of water every day. It helps to fight immunity disorders and thereby help in reducing white patches on your skin.

Babchi

Babchi or Psoralea corylifolia is considered an effective Ayurvedic remedy for hypopigmentation. Its active components help reduce white patches on the skin.

Use Radish Seeds

Another traditional folk remedy for vitiligo involves radish seeds. This is believed to help regenerate melanin in the affected area. Simply make a powder of 25 g dry seeds. Add 2 tbsp vinegar to form a paste. Apply it on the white patches. Once the paste dries, wash it away and pat the skin dry.
